Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser; websites also have a small local storage drawer they can use for the same sort of thing. Most sites use lots of them. We use almost none, and this page lists every single one so you never have to wonder.

That's the whole list. No advertising cookies, no social media pixels, no third-party trackers of any description. If a future redesign ever needs anything more, this table gets updated first and the banner will ask you again.
Choosing, and changing your mind
The banner at the bottom of the page offers two buttons. "Just the essentials" keeps things to the single stored preference above; "Happy with that" additionally allows the anonymous counting. To change your mind later, clear this site's data in your browser settings — the banner will reappear on your next visit like a patient jester, and you can choose differently.
Blocking everything
Every modern browser lets you block or delete stored site data entirely — look under Privacy in the settings of Firefox, Chrome, Safari or Edge. The Jester Bench works perfectly with everything blocked; the only difference is the banner will greet you every visit, which we like to think of as a feature.
